Last weekend, I visited the Davidson Young Scholar Summit in order to raise awareness and money for the palm oil issue. I ended up selling countless grocery bags, stickers, and mini orangutan kits, and many families learned about the issue and how they could help save the rainforest. In fact, I raised almost $200 and gave a speech at the Young Scholar Ambassador Panel about my project. The Young Scholar Ambassador Program is helping me work through the Zoo Project and Tutelage Project, as well as smaller outreach plans, as described in the August 2017 post Plans for the Future.
Reusable grocery bags and mini orangutan kits are now available online on our Merchandise and Donations page.
Thank you for saving the rainforest today!
